Headquartered in Walnut Creek, CA, PGL Consulting provides an array of services to help you manage your organization and procure the funding necessary to meet the needs of the people you serve. Past clients include Carpinteria USD, Newhall USD, Wharton Foundation, Future Leaders of America, Inc., and the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation. The proprietor, Silvia Paloma Garcia-Lopez, specializes in organizational management, grant proposal writing, program design and implementation strategies. She has a master's degree in Education and a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Stanford University. In March 2002, she coauthored her first book, Learning to Teach For Social Justice, Teachers College Press-Columbia University, along with Dr. Linda Darling- Hammond of Stanford University, and Jennifer French. Formerly, she served as the Posse D.C. Director at the Posse Foundation office in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, she served as a Development Officer and Associate Executive Director of Future Leaders of America. She also taught high school History at Santa Clara Unified School District. She has been instrumental in raising over $8M for organizations and schools since 2003.
